Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Loan Servicer/Processor.
As a Loan Servicer/Processor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of loan applications.
This position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial services, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
-Consult clients with respect to performance in areas like servicing, delivery accuracy, investor reporting, document control, custodial account management, loss mitigation, reporting and lender compliance.
- Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Verify borrower information, including employment, income, credit history, and assets
- Calculate debt-to-income ratios and evaluate borrower's ability to repay loans
- Prepare loan files and submit them for underwriting approval
- Communicate with borrowers, lenders, and other parties involved in the loan process to obtain necessary information and resolve any issues
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements
- Coordinate loan closings and work closely with escrow officers to ensure timely funding
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all loan transactions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in finance or related field preferred
- Previous experience in loan processing or related financial services role
- Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing procedures and credit analysis
- Familiarity with loan origination software and systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of contract law and escrow procedures is a plus
