*Job Summary:* As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic.
You will support clinicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
The Medical Assistant team currently consists of four members.
They ensure that the clinic provides high-quality and evidence-based care and in a timely manner.
We seek an MA with excellent patient care and communication skills and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
In addition, this position is responsible for greeting and assisting patients, monitoring the security of the clinic, and maintaining BMC’s medical records.
The ideal candidate is highly organized and dedicated to person-centered care.

Medical Assistant duties include: * Interviewing patients and documenting basic medical history * Taking vitals and documenting findings in the patient chart * Reviewing annual wellness questionnaire with patients, as appropriate * Organizing, authorizing, and scheduling appointments and referrals * Documenting laboratory services and results * Sending prescriptions electronically or by fax and calling-in prescriptions * Administering injections and medications * Conducting lab tests including urinalysis, venipuncture, EKG and other CLIA-waived lab tests * Assisting during medical examinations and procedures * Triaging patient calls, assessing the problem, and consulting with clinicians * Producing and distributing correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms * Preparing and cleaning treatment rooms and medical instruments We seek a Medical Assistant with the following skills: * Successful work experience as a medical assistant * Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures * Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work * Social perceptiveness and service-oriented approach to teamwork and clinic culture * Punctual and self-disciplined * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational and planning skills * Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software * Degree in medical assistance preferred but not required * Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required (on-the-job training will be provided) * Ultrasound experience preferred but not required (on-the-job training will be provided) *Clinic culture:* Blue Mountain Clinic promotes a positive and mission-driven work environment.

All staff are expected to work 36 hours per week.
Staff who work at least 30 hours per week are offered health insurance, dental, and vision benefits after 3 months; after 6 months of employment, staff are offered retirement benefits including a 4% match.
All staff receive paid time off, holiday pay, and long-term leave benefits.
