Serves as Administrative Assistant for the Goodwill retail store.
Provides personalized, welcoming, and supportive experiences to new employees.
During the first few months after a new employee is hired, the Admin Assistant offers guidance regarding policies, procedures, and ESGW’s mission, vision, values, and culture, information about safety, and various resources and encouragement.
Understands general hiring process which includes the hiring and on-boarding experience in Open Hire and Red Carpet.
Other various duties include administrative functions, customer service, safety, wellness, and retention programs.
Special projects will be assigned accordingly as routine workload fluctuates.
Oversees orientation process for new hires; ensuring all documentation is submitted.
Maintains tracking of onboarding activities.
Provide appropriate safety tours to new hire and monitors the new employee’s performance to ensure he/she is performing tasks safely.
Tracks employee attendance program.
May perform miscellaneous office duties (ordering supplies, contacting vendors, sorting mail, etc.
).
Required Skills Demonstrates competency in technical and soft skills.
Training in administration skills desirable.
Should be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to readily learn new software programs.
Demonstrate motivation to grow and learn.
Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
Physical Requirements Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
Work overtime as needed Ability to travel and move independently or with reasonable accommodations within the facility and community, availability of a vehicle, ability to communicate clearly, and to work overtime as needed.
All positions require the completion of a background check.
