Wage: Assistants start at $15.
53/hr or doe, Lead Teachers start at $17.
95/or doe
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 6pm, various shifts (no weekends)
Departments: Y Development Center and Learning Center
Reports to: Childcare Center Director
Probation:Subject to a 12-month introductory (probationary) period
POSITION SUMMARY: Whether you are new to the field or experienced, the Missoula Family YMCA is looking for team oriented, committed and compassionate people who love to engage and have fun with young children aged 5 months to 5 years.

We are hiring Child Care Assistants, either full time or part time, with the opportunity for advancement.
The Child Care Assistant Teacher helps teachers in organizing and leading daily activities of infants, toddlers and pre-kindergarten children.
They implement the program curriculum and environment, providing a high quality, developmentally appropriate experience to meet the needs of the children and families in the program.

Requirements:
Education/Certification
Preferred – High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Experience in a licensed childcare facility, or college level coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Psychology
Required – Must have current CPR and First Aid or obtain within first 30 days of employment (available at the Y)
Experience
Preferred – 1-2 years experience in child care or working with children
