We are looking for an Infant Teacher that is ready to join our team!
The right candidate will be ready to care for and love some of our youngest students (0-2 years old).
You will assist the lead teachers by cleaning, changing diapers, making/feeding bottles, and creating fun crafts and activities for the babies.
You must have a great love and patience for children.
Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention.
The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Changing diapers
* Following feeding schedules
* Assisting infants/toddlers during meal times
* Prepare and feed bottles
* Plan weekly activities and projects for infants and toddlers
* Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.
) to teach children
* Observe each child to help them improve their skills
* Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments as they grow into toddlerhood
* Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.
)
* Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
* Communicate with lead teacher about child's needs and background
* Collaborate with other educators in our facility
* Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
* Sanitizing all surfaces and toys
Skills
* Experience of 1 year is preferred but not required.
* Excellent communication and instructional skills
* Ability to act as a mediator between children
* Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
* Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methods (can train)
* Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms (can train)
* Certification in infant/child CPR & First Aid (class available after hire)
Requirements
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check
* Must be willing to be fingerprinted for state requirements
* Must show proof of TDap and MMR vaccinations or have medical exemptions for both.
* Must be willing to learn & ask questions
* Will be required to take short online courses within 30 and 90 days.

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
