High School education or equivalent (experience may be substituted)

Willing to conform to prescribed dress code

Ability to accept direction from supervisor and work as a team member with other food service staff.

Proven record of interpersonal skills with students and coworkers.

Proven record of good organizational skills, punctuality, and responsibility.

Evidence of an understanding of and willingness to abide by confidentiality policy and practice of the district.
9.
Demonstrated ability to lift loads up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, ability to work prolonged hours while standing, no history of back problems, and pre-employment physical certification by a licensed physician.

*PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:*
1.
Assist manager in setting up food line before service, including checking menu planner for proper serving utensils and use.
2.
Serve food to students and adults and/or supervise student seating, student behavior, and student cleaning of trays
3.
Observe students assisting in serving in order to ensure proper portion control to meet Federal requirements and aid supervisor in the instruction of student helpers on proper serving and sanitation procedures, including behavior while working.
4.
Keep the serving line as clean as possible during serving time.
5.
Assist in cleaning and sanitizing of serving equipment, trays, and utensils after service ends.
6.
Assist in the daily preparation and serving of all menus which includes preparation of salads, vegetables, fruits, desserts, and assisting in the preparation of entrees.
7.
Be alert at all times to the appearance and wholesomeness of food being served.
Report any questionable items to the foodservice supervisor.
8.
Perform other duties as assigned
*IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:* Kitchen Supervisor.
As are all district employees, this position is under the general supervision of the superintendent.
*TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:* Salary, benefits, and other working conditions as negotiated by the Frenchtown Public Schools Board of Trustees and the FCA.
*It is the prerogative of the District to assign staff so as to best meet the needs of the District.

The employee constantly works around others, works with the public, and works inside and outside.
The noise level in the work environment varies but is frequently loud.
The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*
The employee is frequently required to walk and continuously required to stand.
The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and waist while performing the duties of this position.
The employee will continuously be required to reach with hands and arms and frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely performs routine work.
