Temporary Childcare Cook (Fridays only)

We are hiring for a *temporary Friday-only* cook for our childcare center.
There is the option to substitute as needed, if desired.
*JOB SUMMARY:* This position is responsible for assistance with the food service and preparation in the Head Start center.
Duties are performed within state health regulations and USDA requirements.
This position is subject to technical direction from the Cook.
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Food Planning, Preparation and Serving: * Prepare meals according to the Performance Standards.
* Prepare any special diets or family cultural foods with the assistance of the Nutrition Consultant (if needed).
* Complete daily duties Sanitation: * Use commercial dishwasher or the three-step washing procedure for cleaning and sanitation of dishes and utensils * Handle dishes appropriately to reduce damage and wear * Clean and sanitize food delivery equipment after each meal * Keep the dishwashing area cleaned and sanitized * Store all foods according to the state sanitation guidelines Food Delivery: * Prepare classroom dishes for each meal * Deliver food to classrooms.
*SPECIAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:* This position requires the employee to: * Walk, sit, talk, hear, bend, stoop and kneel * Lift up to 50 pounds * Have clear vision Job Type: Temporary Pay: $15.
