Kennel Assistant

We're looking for a caring, patient person who is comfortable working with dogs, who has excellent problem-solving skills and can recognize a pet's needs and help them feel comfortable.
The Kennel Assistant is an individual who will work with the animals as well as clean kennels, yards, and outdoor areas regularly to keep our facility clean and sanitary.
This position is entry level, but is designed for promotion to a Kennel Technician provided that the person hired shows dedication, reliability, and a commitment to our business and business practices.
Responsibilities: * Handle animals in a safe and responsible manner.
* Display a calm confidence while working with groups of dogs.
* Good time management skills.
* Conduct hygiene and sanitation measures that are used to prevent the spread of illness.
* Disinfect and sterilize animal equipment and tools to reduce the risk of infection or illness.
* Perform household chores including cleaning, laundry, dishes etc.
* Any other duties as assigned by the owner or Kennel Technician on duty.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $10.
