Job Responsibilities:
Makes, confirms, and cancels reservations via telephone, computer and or in person.
Answers and routes internal and external phone calls in an articulate, friendly manner using prescribed procedures.
Greets guests, registers, issues room keys, assigns rooms and sets wake up calls as requested in an efficient, warm and friendly manner.
Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
Posts charges such as room, food, or telephone, to ledger and, makes deposits according to cash handling procedures.
Accurately checks out guests, secure payment, verifying and adjusting billing as needed, provide receipts, and communicates departures with housekeeping staff.
Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities, and local interests
Maintains the shift-to-shift log accurately to ensure proper communication between shifts is maintained.
Complete cashier and closing reports, counting the bank at the end of each shift securely
Communicate any emergency, lost item to General Manager or Management Team
Keep contingency lists in case of emergency and communicate any necessary messages
Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the hotel lobby and front desk area.
Maintain and repair guest room items where needed.
Job Requirements:
May be required to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to or equal to 50pounds without assistance.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors/Management
