*Job Description:*
* Tutor high school students in academics, specific need for Math (through calc) and Science
* One-on-one, hour-long sessions (one meeting a week per student)
* Help students understand school assignments, study for quizzes and exams, and/or assist with test prep, practice, and review
* Use our team’s digital resources and online resources to aid student learning and progress
* Communicate with students and parents in weekly update emails about student progress and goals
* Manage time and schedules with students (quarterly, as student schedules often change with sports)
*Requirements:*
* Based in Missoula
* Comfort with teaching and working with young people/students
* Strong math skills in all areas of grade school and high school math (Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calc, Calculus, etc.
) and science (Chemistry, Physics)
* Preferred availability 5-10 hrs per week.
Meeting location of your choice - public library, coffee shop, etc.
Virtual meeting options as well.
Availability must be outside of “school hours” since you work with students - late afternoon, nights, or weekends - Willingness to work odd hours/weekends.
Flexibility with schedules shifting throughout the year
* Ability to manage your time/schedule efficiently and without supervision
* Strong communication skills in person and via email
* Ability to respond promptly to client emails
* Emotional IQ and ability to adapt to student needs
