*Quality Assurance Director* Advanced Material Solutions Specialty Gas (AMS SG) facility specializes in producing and distributing high purity specialty gases for use in the production of semiconductor devices.
This new state-of-the-art facility will be coming online in Montana starting in 2024.
*Position Summary* AMS SG is a global, high-growth distributor for high purity gases.
The Quality Assurance Director will lead the team that analyzes a variety of high purity gases, creates the quality management system that ensures quality of the products produced at the facility, obtains ISO 9001:2015 certification and ultimately achieves qualification with top tier semiconductor fabs in the US.
The Quality Assurance Director also routinely interfaces with customers to ensure AMS SG is meeting expectations and is aligned with the quality improvement roadmaps of the industry.
*The Role* * Oversee the installation of a new analytical laboratory which includes GC’s and an ICMP in clean rooms.
* Implement state-of-the-art analytical techniques (methods, procedures, calibrations) to ensure our products meet all specifications for semiconductor customers.
* Recruit a team to operate the laboratory, including analytical chemists and technicians.
* Direct and assist in laboratory personnel training when required.
* Create and implement a quality management system ensuring the quality of 10-12 different high purity gases that will be shipped from the facility.
* Use the QMS to obtain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
* Prepare for and represent AMS during customer quality audits.
* Create an inspection system of incoming material to ensure the quality of product shipped from the facility.
* Create and oversee the system to issue certificates of analyses for product shipments to customers.
* Purchase and implement a LIMS and software packages as required to interface with customers per their requirements.
* Meet with customers and answer questions regarding Inquiries, quality complaints and develop roadmaps for improvements as the industry changes.
* Develop detailed presentation packages to demonstrate the techniques and capabilities of the laboratory and QMS to convince customers they are getting best in class.
* All other duties as assigned.
*The Candidate* * Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or equivalent science degree * 10+ years of experience in analytical chemistry with experience in operating GC’s and an ICMP * Experience in quality management systems and ISO 9001 requirements * Ability to travel overseas.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $125,000.
