Waste Less Works is seeking a responsible construction professional to lead and join our salvage field operations.
The Deconstruction Crew Manager and leader will be responsible for the daily management of deconstruction projects from start to finish in a variety of jobs and multiple jobs at one time.
Deconstruction is an environmentally friendly alternative to demolition.
We mostly utilize hand tools to disassemble buildings from the inside out and top down.
This is reverse construction and requires coordination with crew members who have a variety of skill sets ranging from their first job to over 15 years construction experience.
Our work tasks include deconstruction and dismantling of residential and commercial buildings.
This can be surgical in approach or quick and destructive.
The candidate must be able to visualize a project through completion and direct one or more crews to efficiently and safely follow our process with a focus on salvage.
Our job sites are located across the Missoula area and beyond.
We are looking to expand regionally.
Field Manager Applicant Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years field construction experience- 4 Years minimum in leadership position
* Valid Driver’s License and transportation to/from job sites
* Creativity and problem solving skills
* Coordinate the various aspects of a deconstruction project and accountable for project deadlines
* Fosters a professional field presence that is a positive reflection of Waste Less Works Deconstruction Company.
* Communicate effectively with clients and co-workers
* Supervise, manage and work along a crew of 2-10 people by prioritizing, organizing, and delegating tasks
* Timekeeping and daily field reporting
* Competently operate company equipment, vehicles, and/or trailers
* Commitment to quality
* Need to be able to bend, stoop, crawl, climb and/or kneel throughout the work day to perform required job tasks.
* Need to be able to lift/ carry up to 100lbs repeatedly
* Compliance with safety policies and procedures
* Adept at working in outdoor conditions (for instance, low/high temperatures, rain, sun, wind, dust, etc)
* Ability to wear a respirator, as job conditions require
* OSHA Certification is a plus
* Truck driving experience while towing a trailer is a major plus
* Small equipment (Bobcat, forklift, boom lift, etc.
) experience is a plus
Applicant must be trustworthy, dependable and willing to learn and advance their personal skill as well as crew member skill.
Showing up on time ready to work with appropriate clothing, and food to keep motivated throughout the day is a given.
Waste Less Works is a family owned business.
Some employees have been with the company since the inception 10 years ago.
The job opening is for a full time position.
Some flexibility in schedule is possible on a case by case basis.
