2 Status) variable shift Pharmacy Tech position in the Pharmacy Department.
The Pharmacy Technician shall work as a team member with the Pharmacist and other hospital and pharmacy staff to provide quality patient care.
He/she shall contribute technical expertise and knowledge to the practice of pharmacy, and shall accurately perform those tasks that are non-clinical in judgment.
He/she shall oversee routine drug distribution and maintenance of drug distribution records, and shall be an organizational vehicle within the pharmacy, so that pharmacists may be free to pursue clinical activities appropriate to their responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements: Required to be licensed in the State of Montana as a certified Pharmacy Technician.
Must be proficient in English, proficient in pharmaceutical math, and computer literate.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred/Desired: Prefer completion of a pharmacy technician program and 2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferably in a healthcare setting.
Previous IV admixture, chemotherapy compounding, familiarity with automated dispensing cabinets and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications desired.
On-Call / Weekend Requirements: Yes, Weekends.
