0 Status), variable shift Registered Nurse Position in the Diagnostic Imaging department.
The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer.
Provides expert care and education to patients in the interventional radiology setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel.
The RN is knowledgeable in interventional radiology nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents.
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*
* RN licensure in the State of Montana or other compact state
* Current BLS and ACLS certifications (will permit ACLS within 4 weeks of hire)
* Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Critical Care (ICU/CCU)
* Demonstrated ability (applicable experience) in provide nursing care in all Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging Department modalities: flouro OR, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and general Fluoroscopy.
* Experience in the administration of Moderate Sedation and recovery of post sedation patients
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:*
* Bachelor’s degree in nursing
* Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) and/or Certification in Cardiac Cath Lab or Critical Care
* Current qualification of moderate sedation course/competency
* Experience, knowledge, and skills for interventions for cardiovascular complications
* Critical thinking skills to anticipate and prevent deterioration in patient stability during and after procedures.
* Experience in assisting with set up of invasive lines such as Arterial Lines
*ON-CALL AND WEEKEND REQUIREMENT: *On-call every third (3rd) weekend and 2-3 weekday evenings/nights.
