About The Role Summary: The SQL Server Database Administrators is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems.
The DBA must ensure the availability and consistent performance of various corporate applications.
The ability to motivate or influence inside or outside senior level personnel is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust.
Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bank division location across our eight state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY.

The entry rate for this position is $110,334.
52 per year (calculated for Kalispell, MT).
All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.
Description: Database Administration Ensures compliance with audit and departmental policies and procedures.
Manages SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments from development to mission-critical production systems.
Configures and maintains database servers and processes including monitoring system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Builds, configures, and maintains database servers, SQL databases and database processes.
Monitors database systems' and servers' health and performance and develop metrics to objectively track performance over time.
Ensures reliable backup and restore capabilities for all SQL databases to meet the businesses Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
Develops, performs, and manages database disaster recovery procedures.
Works with other teams and outside vendors to implement new systems requiring SQL database(s).
Works with other teams and outside vendors to troubleshoot connectivity to and functionality of SQL databases.
Proactively and regularly makes recommendations for system improvements.
Ethically handles private data, including financial data.
Ensures security of SQL databases.
This includes regular patching and updating of SQL servers.
Configures access to SQL server databases for users and applications following the principle of least access.
Develops monitoring reports, usage analytics, and full documentation of the SQL environment.
Troubleshoots SQL Server service outages as they occur, including providing on-call support during after-hours and weekends.
After-hours work may also include, but not limited to scheduled maintenance, supporting application deployment, and hardware/software upgrades.
Service Delivery and Project Support Develops monitoring and analysis to quantitatively evaluate the efficiency of data processes and lead initiatives to improve them.
Ensures the team meets all SLA and business deadline requirements.
Works with project teams to implement new systems and ensures that all SQL database fit within company standards for reliability and security.
Ensures the SQL environment meets all disaster recovery objectives.
Escalated Incident Support Responds in a timely manner to escalated incidents and major incidents.
Collaborates on troubleshooting with other teams to achieve issue resolution.
Effectively communicates with effected teams while working towards resolution.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
About You Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education Required/Preferred Education Level Description Required Computer Science, Database Management, or similar field.
Experience Required/Preferred Experience Level Description Required 5 years 5-7 years of hands-on experience in support of a MS SQL Server Administration, performing SQL Server patching and upgrades, developing scripts for SQL Server Backup, Integrity Check, and Index and Statistics Maintenance.
Required 3 years 3-5 years hands-on experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using Transact SQL.
Production support experience for mission critical MS SQL database systems.
Required 1 year 1-2 years of working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting server infrastructure.
Required Knowledge Of Azure.
Preferred Advanced / Specialized Knowledge Replication, AlwaysOn, db-mirroring, log-shipping, partitions and security for MS SQL servers.
Preferred Knowledge Of SSAS and PowerShell scripting is a big plus.
Hands-on experience configuring and tuning SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS processes preferred.
Active Directory.
Software Development Life Cycle.
T-SQL language.
Would an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience be considered?: Yes License/Certification Required/Preferred License/Certification Description Preferred Multiple Certifications SQL 2016 2019 2022 MCTS, MCITP, and/or MCDBA certifications a plus.

Ability to take initiative, and make decisions based on regulations, company policies, knowledge and experience with minimal supervision.
Ability to serve as a backup for other staff members in a mutually supportive team work environment.
Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
