Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take dental x-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical records systems (e.
g.
, Epic)
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Provide support to dentists in pediatric dental procedures
- Perform patient assessments and document medical history
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant 1 year
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with medical documentation and recordkeeping practices
- Experience working with kids is a preferred
