*Job Description:*
As a Part-Time Optometric Technician at Ronan Eye Clinic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with people, possesses excellent communication skills, and is detail-oriented.
This position requires a strong commitment to customer care, adaptability, and proficiency in data entry on computers.
*Responsibilities:*
* Work closely with patients to perform preliminary tests and gather relevant medical history.
* Conduct various diagnostic tests, such as visual acuity, field of vision, and eye pressure measurements.
* Assist the optometrist during eye exams, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed.
* Input and maintain accurate patient records using computer systems.
* Educate patients on lens options, contact lens insertion, removal, and care procedures.
* Handle inquiries from patients regarding eyewear options and prescriptions.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
* Collaborate with the optical team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
*Requirements:*
* Previous experience as an Optometric Technician or similar role is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with excellent data entry capabilities.
* Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Genuine enjoyment of working with and caring for people.
* Basic knowledge of eye care terminology and procedures.
* Proficiency in using computers for data entry and recordkeeping.
*Education:*
* High school diploma or equivalent.
