```Duties```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Collect copays and deductibles
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents, transcribing referral notes and pathology reports
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations
- Manage medical records, including organizing and updating files as needed
```Skills```
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role a bonus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to accurately transcribe information
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external contacts
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
