The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department including hiring, interviewing staff, administering personnel action forms, pay, benefits, and leave.
Responsibilities also include assisting with training/recruiting, staff housing and compliance management.
Work closely with Director of Human Resources in maximizing employee productivity and achievement of guest service objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establish, maintain and ensure adherence to all personnel-related policies and procedures.
Assist in recruitment and interviewing of candidates for all positions.
Support and uphold Ranch philosophy concerning hiring, employee relations, supervision and disciplinary action.
Conduct wage/salary/benefit surveys of the local market and recommend enhancements of the Ranch’s compensation plan.
Maintain and administer employment, wage and salary, benefit, 401 k, and bonus programs.
Provide Ranch-wide communication channels and interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff and community members.
Coordinate, influence and persuade staff in order to maintain service standards of The Ranch.
Coordinate Ranch training programs that provide for specific skills training and management/supervisory development, including anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training.
Support brand and company training goals and monitor training programs and materials.
Coordinate and support human resources activities to hire, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel.
Coordinate and support administration of performance appraisals in all departments.
Maintain Ranch’s human resources information system so as to provide accurate employee records that comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
Monitor Ranch’s compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
Administer associate benefit program (medical and retirement) including processing enrollment forms and changes and scheduling associate information sessions with vendor as required.
Education/Experience
Current or previous experience in Human Resources role in the hospitality industry preferred.
Strong knowledge of recruitment tactics within a seasonal and remote destination preferred.
Prior experience within roles aligned to Forbes Five Star and Relais & Chateux standards and culture preferred.
Experience working in seasonal hospitality or national park environment.
Degree in related field or HR certification ideal.
