At KAI, we do work that matters! Contracts Manager (Professional Services) The Contracts Manager is responsible for monitoring and supervising the contract administration process, including providing guidance to a team of contract administration and pricing professionals.
The CM will provide oversight, guidance and technical support in implementing service delivery of professional services contracts with various federal agencies, state and tribal governments, and nonprofit/for-profit entities.
Essential Job Functions Provides hands on contract administration support regarding all contracts and their requirements, including contract award initiation, modifications, generalcorrespondence, close out, and review of contract documents highlighting non-standard terms, and identifying issues of concern Maintains compliance of company and project contracts Work with Contracts Management Team to formulate and execute contractual documents Ensure compliance with FAR, GSA schedule, and other regulations, as required Interface on a regular basis with staff at all levels of KAI’s programs, and departments aswell as its clients’, and partners to build effective relationships Prepare, review and evaluate cost proposals, contracts, sub-contracts and other biddocuments, as well as other agreements required within contract awards (e.
g.
, hotel agreements) Maintain Contract Management Database Maintain Corporate status registrations including but not limited to CCR.
gov, ORCA, SBA, GSA Maintain corporate signature process Demands/Complexity The CM-PS is responsible for ensuring compliance of all company and project contracts.
The duties, amount of guidance or direction received, work situations, and latitude for decision-making will vary in degree of complexity or difficulty.
The position will exercise independent judgment in the matters related to assigned duties.
Supervisory Responsibility None at the moment, but subject to change with organizational needs.
Contact with Others The CM will communicate face to face, by email and by telephone with all employees of KAI on a frequent and regular basis.
The CM will also communicate frequently with external corporate contacts, primarily federal and private agencies regarding contract management, ranging from simple exchanges of information and coordination of activities to more complex problem-solving issues.
The position may have limited communication regarding corporate regulatory audits.
Communication with others in this position can have a substantial impact for the company.
Specific Job Skills Comprehensive knowledge of service delivery of government contract management and procurement processes Prior experience in preparation of pricing proposals, rate development and price/cost analysis FAR/FTR knowledge and other pertinent contracting requirements, (i.
e.
GSA, andSBA regulations, etc.
) Highly proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Effective communication skills, written and oral Contract Management Database proficiency Ability to perform in a high volume, time-sensitive and deadline driven environment Maintain confidentiality Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required (business, finance, accounting, or related field) At least 8 years of related experience Certification in federal contracts management (preferred) Job Conditions The CM position is fully remote.
The position may include limited travel, occasional meetings after hours, occasional extended hours, and interruptions from time to time.
Close computer work for extended periods of time will be required.
