**Up to $300 Sign on Bonus** POSITION SUMMARY The House Manager position participates in a team approach using positive and confident interactions with all staff on shift to oversee the day-to-day household operations and appropriate delivery of services to clients in all programmatic areas.
Responsibilities include supervising Direct Support Professionals and assisting with clients in programmatic areas to increase communication, independence, and daily living skills acquisition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises and supports Direct Support Professionals.
Conducts Direct Support Professional evaluations.
Orients newly hired staff to policy and procedures, the homes, and clients specific support needs.
Conduct initial and on-going training for new hires as outlined in the new hire onboarding manual.
Oversees Direct Support Professionals work with clients to make certain clients are receiving quality support with their program goals, they participate and are members of their communities, and their activity of daily living supports are met.
Manages the Personal Support Plan process in collaboration with Program Administrator.
Manages the clients' files.
Reviews program books to ensure data is collected in accordance with the program and each client is meeting their goals and objectives.
Ensures all time and efforts, monthly data reviews, transportation logs, and attendance logs are completed accurately and timely.
Accesses the database each shift to review and/or complete General Event Reports, T-logs, SComms, and other items.
Oversees medication management and assists clients to self-administer prescribed medication and documents any inaccuracies.
May attend medical appointments with the clients.
Management of client funds.
Ensures that household grocery shopping is completed, and household items are stocked in the home.
Makes sure the homes are kept clean, maintenance issues are addressed, and the homes meet licensing and Developmental Disabilities Program standards.
Ensures vehicles are clean and fueled as necessary and that documentation in the travel log adheres to policy.
Ensures that fire drills and evacuation drills are completed and documented accurately and in a timely manner.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS Minimum of two years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities or related experience required.
Minimum of high school education or GED.
One year or more of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Some college course work preferred.
Medical Group Home - CNA or PCA experience preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information regarding policies and procedures with ability to complete documentation and effectively communicate that information to other staff.
The ability to exercise good judgement and remain calm in a crisis.
Possession of valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
Proof of auto liability insurance in accordance with Montana law, and insurability PHYSICAL DEMANDS Perform two-person client transfers which may be more than 100 pounds Frequent rotation of standing, walking, and sitting to perform duties.
Ability to communicate by talking and hearing.
Ability to visualize reading materials, colors of items, appropriate depth perception, and ability to adjust visual focus.
Possible exposure to the normal hazards of health care may occur, such as blood-borne pathogens, unpleasant sight, sounds, odors, and physical aggression may be encountered.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may become loud for short periods of time.
