Hardware Associate

Job Summary The Sales Associate will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.
Responsible for ensuring registers are ran quickly, efficiently, and accurately while making sure the customer leaves with a smile! Job Duties/Responsibilities Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
Store Operations Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area.
Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
Provide assistance to Department Specialists, i.
e.
price changes, special orders.
Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
Operate forklift with proper training.
Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up.
Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager.
Participate in store meetings.
Be professional in appearance and actions.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

You will be asked by Management to perform various tasks.
This can include, but is not limited to, stocking freight, filling the ice machine, carry outs, and helping out in departments** Job Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must: Be at least 14 years of age or older.
Successfully pass a criminal background check.
Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to: Frequently sit, walk, grasp, reach, stand, talk, or hear.
Frequently stoop, crouch, lift or pull/push up to 50 lbs.
Clearly see 20+ feet as well as close vision, with or without corrective lenses.
Mental & Other Skills/Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the: Adaptability: ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment Computer/Technical Ability: working knowledge of cash register system.
Dependability: ability to follow instructions, both in written and verbal format; ability to respond to management direction; ability to complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan when necessary.

Interpersonal Skills: ability to maintain satisfactory relationships with others, excellent customer service skills and an ability to act in a supportive team environment.
Mathematical Ability: basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
The ability to count money.
Motor Coordination: the ability to coordinate eyes, hands, fingers, and feet accurately and handle precise movements.
