Staff Vacancy Announcement Student Accounts Services invites applications for a Accounts Receivable Systems Analyst to process and verify daily Ellucian Banner’s Accounts Receivable (AR) activity with other external sources.
This includes, and is not limited to the following: Nelnet Refund Administration Nelnet QuikPay reporting Reconciling daily interface between Banner AR to Banner Finance Maintaining the UM student fee tables, to include course fees Coordinate and schedule daily and monthly production cycles Under direction of the Director of Student Accounts, the Analyst serves as primary technical support for the office.
They are responsible for serving as a project resource for all areas of Accounts Receivable (AR) including: project management, functional design, software analysis, testing and documentation of processes; collaborating with Accounting, Treasury, Student Accounts, Finance Systems, Accounts Payable, and Procurement.
They also will collaborate with various campus departments to ensure accurate fee assessment is applied and update to the current student fee structure.
The Analyst directs cross-functional teams and staff for AR related processes, and will provide feedback and consultation to make corrections and streamline efficiencies.
The Analyst will work with the Director and Associate Director to develop and implement related policies and procedures.
They will continually analyze current processes to further institutional, divisional, and departmental goals such as recruitment and retention.
This individual will be able to recognize business, compliance and data challenges and identify ways in which technology can facilitate achieving departmental and organizational objectives.
The Analyst will demonstrate the ability to design, develop, and implement innovative ways to deliver student financial services that focus on automating and optimizing student self-service functionalities.
Required Skills Extensive knowledge and experience using integrated administrative software systems Strong understanding and experience in systems development, business processing analysis, and testing strategies and planning Knowledge of software development methodologies Advanced technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Experience with reporting tools such as MS Excel, Access, Tableau, Transact, Argos, SQL etc.
, with the ability to learn new and specialized software Strong reading comprehension and writing skills in order to interpret technical documentation and communicate to end users Ability to translate functional business requirements into technical specifications Demonstrated customer service experience in a business setting Minimum Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
