Montana State University Extension, through a partnership with and funding from the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), serves individuals and families with low- income, the primary audiences being parents and caregivers with the responsibility of feeding young children, youth, and pregnant teens or young adults who may become parents.
The EFNEP Extension Nutrition Educator’s main function is to partner and collaborate with local agencies, schools, and organizations to implement the EFNEP program in Missoula County.
The Extension Educator will teach youth and adults about nutrition, physical activity, food resource management, and food safety, using a series of approved lessons.
Position specific training and orientation will be provided to the successful candidate to prepare them to carry out job responsibilities in the communities served.
